Save the middle picture, which is a no-mask one for the purpose of gawking at the skin, the masks are, from left to right: Bird, Canine, Feline and Stag. There are male and female versions of each. There's also a HUD that allows you to change the color of your hair, hat and birdies! Super precious. I tinted my hair because, well, I die a little inside if I don't. Just because. But you get, for example, 12 dark browns in this HUD.

My skin, Alex, is Essences' offering at kustom9, opening on July 15th! I'm wearing one of Inka's new skintones. Her skins are now available in two variations each of pale, medium and dark. This is DARK 02.

I was bored and frustrated over RL stuffs, so I decided to find a blog survey to complete! You should do the same!

  1. Are you young at heart, or an old soul? The latter, I’ve been told!
  2. What makes someone a best friend? So many things, but most of all - understanding.
  3. What Christmas (or Hanukkah) present do you remember the most? I just remember how FULL the living room was when I woke up to it. Stockings full of candy and Barbie dolls/clothes galore! OMG WHERE IS MY EASY BAKE OVEN.
  4. Tell me about a movie/song/tv show/play/book that has changed your life. Movie? Das Leben der Anderen. Song? My Wine in Silence. TV Show? West Wing. Book? Moby Dick was, for some reason, really touching for me when I was little. I read it in one sitting, and everything about it was magical to me. There was an illustration of the soothsayer that really struck me. No idea why. Other than that, the books I read occasionally – all political nonfiction books – “move” me. But Moby Dick was the start!
  5. Name one physical feature that you like about yourself, and one you dislike. JUST ONE DISLIKE?!?! I choose my butt. One thing I like … I’ve always liked my shoulders!
  6. Would you like to reconnect with any friends you’ve lost contact with? No.
  7. What’s more important in a relationship: physical attraction or emotional connection? Both are important but it’s the latter “pour moi.”
  8. Name a movie that you knew would be terrible just from reading the title. “Think Like a Man”
  9. What holiday do you most look forward to? None
  10. How is the relationship between you and your parents? My father is deceased; my mother and I … well… that’s a long story.
  11. You’ve got the TV on, but you’re not really watching. What channel is the TV on? Since it’s early in the morning, it’ll be VH1 or MTV for the music videos.
  12. Name a song that never fails to make you happy. That new one by Paramore.. “don’t go crying / to yo’ mama / cuz you’re on your own / in the real world.”
  13. You know at least one person named Michael. Tell me about him. Actually, I don’t!
  14. Have you ever read the “missed connections” on Craigslist? Have you ever posted one, or wanted to? No/No/No
  15. If you could pick anywhere to live the rest of your life, where would it be? Germany, Rome or London. I’ll take any of those.
  16. Can money buy happiness? No.
  17. Do you drink? Smoke? Do drugs? Why, or why not? No / No / No – Just not interested, although I wouldn’t mind having a drink every now and then!
  18. Is there anyone close to you that you know you can’t trust? You don’t have to give names. Yes.
  19. Where was your favorite place to go when you were a little kid? There was a little consignment shop that had a play area for kids. WIN! Also, SCHOOL - even more than that consignment shop.
  20. Have you ever spent a night in the hospital? Yes.
  21. Do you enjoy being with only one or two friends, or with a large group of people? The former.
  22. Do you like the type of music your parents listen to? Do your parents like the type of music you listen to? Yes / No. My mom likes 50s-70s soul music. YES PLEASE.
  23. Have you ever been bullied? Have you ever bullied anyone else? Yes / No
  24. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Cheez-Its!
  25. If your partner wanted to wait until marriage before having sex, would you stay in that relationship? Sure.
  26. Do you believe in a god? No.
  27. Would you call yourself/your family “middle class?” No.
  28. Name a TV series you didn’t enjoy until after it ended. West Wing
  29. Have you ever bought a product from an infomercial? No.
  30. If you could give up your car and never have to drive again, would you? EFF YES.
  31. If you go back to one point in time to give advice to yourself, when would you go and what would you say? I would have gone back to 2010 and told myself to slow down.
  32. What’s your “quirkiest” habit? I’m always picking with something – my face, my hair, etc.
  33. What is “normal?” Are you normal? I’m not sure what it is, but I AM pretty sure that none of us are it.
  34. Someone close to you is dying. You have the choice to let this person live for 10 more years, but if you do, you cause the death of 10 strangers. You don’t have to see them die. Do you take the offer? No. Those other 10 people are loved by others too. SOCIAL CONTRACT? HELLLLOOOO. But I’d make sure that 1) all other methods of saving this person had been exhausted and 2) his/her last moments were the BEST EVER IN ALL OF EVER.
  35. What is one thing you could never forgive? Lying is tough for me, because I’m honest, even when I know I will lose something by telling the truth.
  36. Would you rather be in a relationship after the honeymoon period ends, or be single? The former.
  37. Is it possible for guys and girls to be just friends? Yes.
  38. Where do you and your friends go to hang out? I only hang out in SL. I’m a bit reclusive in RL. In SL, we go to ALL DA SHOPS.
  39. Write the first paragraph of your obituary. :/
  40. What is the best TV theme song ever? GAME OF THRONES. DUH.
  41. When you were young, what would you dream you would be when you grew up? A princess or an angel. Pretty boring, I know :P
  42. When you’re alone in your own home, do you walk around naked? NO!
  43. What gets you out of bed in the morning? Necessity.
  44. Do you want to have more friends than you have right now? No.
  45. What part of the past year sticks out in your mind? Someone. Getting some independence!
  46. You win a scratch-off lottery game that gives you $2000 a week (after taxes) for the rest of your life. Do you keep your job? Not the current one but I would still like to work.
  47. Could you be in a long-distance relationship? If you’re in one, what makes yours work? I have and could be again, yes, as long as we did meet each other regularly! The same things that make short-distance relationships work – honesty, communication, intimacy, etc. And also seeing each other (I don’t mean via Skype – I mean, being in the same vicinity) whenever possible.
  48. What’s the best route to your heart? Smarts. Humor. Passion. Making me feel wanted. Those four things cook up the fifth element - atraction.
  49. Have you ever met someone through the internet, then met them in real life? Yes.
  50. What is your favorite sport? FOOTBALL. But I’m really, really starting to like soccer.
  51. What has been troubling you lately? Lots.
  52. Did you enjoy your high school prom? If you haven’t gotten there yet, do you look forward to it? If you didn’t go, why not? I went to prom but with my cousin. I wasn’t popular. The guy who was editing the video in the library the next day, and who was very popular, saw me and told me, “you looked pretty.” Can’t let the other popular kids hear you tell me that!
  53. What do you use more often: your intuition or logical reasoning? I think I use both, but maybe more intuition!
  54. Do you know what makes you happy? No.
  55. Tell me about the last book you read. It’s been a while for some reasons I’ll not mention.
  56. What is the nicest compliment you’ve ever been given? My favorite ones are the non-physical ones, like… “You’re a quick study” or simply “You’re amazing.” Though I SURELY don't mind ones like "I can't look at you" or "Don't look at me with those big, pretty brown eyes" One of my bosses said the latter one and she HATED MY GUTS, so I think that was a good compliment :D
  57. Who was your first crush? Michael! In Kindergarten! It turns out he liked me and EVERY OTHER GIRL TOO.
  58. Do you believe that there is life on other planets? Maybe :P
  59. Predict what your life will look like a year from now. I’ll be rich and in one of those three places (Germany, Rome or London) with three dogs and an awesome career that doesn’t feel like work. OKAY I WISH.
  60. Often, people will ask how your last relationship ended. I want to know how it began. Ugh… let’s not.
  61. Where is your favorite place to go out and eat? Mugshots! MM!
  62. What is something you want to change about your current situation? I want to figure out what my career should be!
  63. Early bird or night owl? Early bird
  64. Are there any childhood possessions you still hold on to? My piano books! My first drawings! Some stuffed animals!
  65. Give me an unpopular opinion you have. Kinda personal. Those who know me well enough know some of these.
  66. What was the last song that was stuck in your head? Dark Horse by Katy Perry. And EVERYONE knows that I hate Katy Perry. “I knew you weerrrrre / you were gonna come to me…” GAWD!
  67. Where do you live? Be as general or specific as you want. In a house! In the United States!
  68. Do you believe in giving kids medals and trophies for participation? Absolutely.
  69. What was the longest car ride you’ve ever taken? When visiting my cousin in Florida – this took about… four hours, methinks?
  70. Have you ever taken part in a protest? No.
  71. Would you ever use an online dating service? I have before, so yes.
  72. What is your ethnic heritage? African-American!
  73. Describe a person that inspires you. Condoleeza Rice. Even if I don't agree with her politics, she is fluent in five languages and is an exceptional pianist, among many other things. Also, Florian Henckle von Donnersmarck is pretty amazing. He started making Das Leben der Anderen when he was like… 28, methinks?
  74. If you earn minimum wage doing what you love, would you? Yes.
  75. Do you believe in luck? Yes.
  76. Describe the last time you were very angry at someone. I was angry because I was being lied to, and I knew I was being lied to. BUT OH WELL.
  77. Do you want to live until you’re 100? GAWD NO.
  78. Do people change? If so, how do you keep a relationship together when both of you start to change? Absolutely, people change. If both (or either) change, then it’s probably up to the two people involved to decide whether or not they want to do whatever it takes to save the relationship. You can change but still be dedicated to making your relationship work. That dedication alone might not be enough to save it; the changes may be too dramatic to overcome. But if either person is not dedicated to each other and the relationship, then there is definitely no keeping it together.
  79. Have you ever risked a friendship by telling someone you liked them? No.
  80. How do you know if a person wants to be with you? Not by words but by actions. If someone, for example, is saying "I want to see you" but makes NO efforts to see you, then you can be sure s/he does not view you as a priority. Even though it's cliche, it's so true that "actions speak louder than words." Ask yourself if you FEEL wanted.
  81. Would you rather be alone doing something you enjoy, or doing something you don’t like with your best friends? The former. GAWD YES.
  82. Do you practice what you preach? I try to.
  83. If you take precautions to stay safe, do you ultimately act more recklessly? No.
  84. What do you value more in a significant other: Attractiveness or intelligence? The latter.
  85. Are you hard-headed? Yes.
  86. Have you ever laughed uncontrollably when it was socially inappropriate? No.
  87. When have you felt most alive? When I’ve done something meaningful for animal welfare
  88. Would you prefer to live? A city? The suburbs? The countryside? The mountains? The countryside!
  89. Do you often skip breakfast? Always. I can’t eat that early in the morning :/
  90. How do you know what true love is? That’s a long complicated answer.
  91. Would you want to know the exact date and time you were going to die? No.
  92. Where is “home” for you? Nowhere.
  93. What are you thinking about right now? That it's time to go crazy on some internet research right after this post.
  94. What song best describes your life right now? Hmmm. IDK.
  95. Do you want to be perfect? Who doesn’t want to be perfect??? Who strives to be less than perfect? Even if you'll never get there, I think most people wouldn't mind being perfect!
  96. What have you never tried, but would really like to someday? What’s holding you back? I’d love to buy my own house AND DECORATE IT. Not having money usually halts most things.
  97. How do you express your creativity? I don’t feel all that creative. :(
  98. Describe your neighborhood. Quiet. But with the nosiest neighbors ever.
  99. Name something you only liked because it was popular. IDK?
  100. Give me the story of your life in six words. Decisions and consequences, ya feel me?
